London. Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1984., Nigel Gosling, under the name Alexander Bland, wrote most of this book, but sadly he died in 1982, before he'd finished it. Author of many books on ballet, he'd been dance critic for The Observer. Percival, dance critic of The Times, author of ballet books, was a friend who'd admired & respected Bland, & he agreed to finish it. It is full of beautiful, powerful b./w. photographs.
